SANTA CRUZ, Calif.
— The Santa Cruz, Calif., campgrounds will soon be home to a pop-up camper with a twist.
The pop-ups are going to be on the grounds of the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds and will feature an array of items, including a full line of new seasonal and traditional food items.
The pop-Up Camping and Entertainment Experience, or PopCamps, are a collaboration between the Fairgrounds, the Santa Fe, Nogales and Las Cruces County governments, according to a press release from the Fairlands and the Fairmont Santa Cruz.
“The Pop-Ups will be on our grounds in conjunction with our Santa Cruz community, providing a fun, safe and affordable option for families and small businesses alike,” Fairgrounds spokesperson Michael Dominguez said in a press conference Monday.
“This unique opportunity will allow families and businesses alike to enjoy our parks and grounds while enjoying a great time in Santa Cruz with family and friends.”
In the past, PopCamp visitors have included celebrities and other celebrities from across the country, including Justin Bieber, Ellen DeGeneres and Jennifer Lopez.
Now, the Fairland will also feature a pop up camping experience for the entire community, which includes live music, activities, food and a great view of the San Jacinto River, according the release.
“These PopCAMP guests will also be able to enjoy a wide range of entertainment options including live music on the grass, a BBQ grill and live entertainment, among other fun activities,” Domingueres added.
