Here are a few things to consider before you book your camping trip.

Get here by ferry or by plane.
If you’re going to be camping in the New York area, you may need to have a ferry or plane ticket from one of the New Jersey-New York ports of entry.
New Jersey’s ferry terminal is in Hoboken, New Jersey, and New York’s airport is in Newark, New York.
Both are within five minutes walk of each other.
If you’re planning to be in New Orleans, you can take the Louisiana Cruise Ship from New Orleans to St. Louis by ferry, but it’s a bit pricier than a plane ticket.
Airport shuttle buses from New York are located on the lower deck of the airport’s arrivals terminal.
They cost about $1.50 per person.
The bus service operates seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
